Moh B. Couture exemplifies unrivaled and high quality ready-to-wear and custom designs, for women and men. Our garments are exclusively made with the highest quality African prints and European fabrics, most distinctly defined by vibrant colors.

We specialize in sophisticated evening wear, red carpet glamour dresses, wedding apparel for brides and grooms, prom dresses, pageant gowns, cocktail wear and stylish men and women business suits. We also provide alteration services at our DC one-stop store, featuring a wide range of Western and African fabrics, assorted shoes and bags, handmade jewelry and other accessories imported from Africa.

Mohamed is a notable custom-clothier in the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. Known for his exclusive collections for diplomats, local personalities, dignitaries and staff of international organizations such as the World Bank and IMF, he meticulously tailors each outfit, whether designing apparel for celebrities or for the general public, in order to perfectly fit the wearer.

Whether designing apparel for celebrities or for the general public, Mohamed meticulously tailors each outfit, in order to perfectly fit the wearer.

As a teenager, Mohamed was introduced to the fashion industry by his uncle, also a fashion designer, and decided to follow up his footsteps, due to his love for fashion. This love has endured for over 28 years, so he claims over 28 years of experience of progressive and diverse tailoring and alterations.

Mohamed is multi-award winner and his most recent red carpet honors include Best African Designer at Mother Africa and Her Talents event. Mohamed was the exclusive designer of the Miss Africa International Pageant for two consecutive years (2004 and 2005). Mohamed believes in helping his community and was honored to assist Frostburg State University Maryland’s African Student Association on the occasion of their 6th Annual showcase.

At Moh B. Couture, our custom-designs are made with the highest quality and our brand is recognized for its exquisite designs. We are the only shop in DC that not only provides unlimited customization and alteration services whether it is for African or Western styles but also we cater both men and women. Furthermore, unlike most of our competitors in DC whose garments are made by a third-party company or most of the time offshore in Asia (China, Thailand, Hong Kong, just to name a few), all of our custom-clothing are done locally in our shop. Finally, we offer impeccable work and customer service because we believe in customer satisfaction and guarantee to deliver a complete personalized fitting experience.
